How it all started

Casa Sencilla was born out of a love for objects that carry history. Things made slowly, by hand, built to last — not to be thrown away after a season.

We wander estate sales, antique markets, and hidden corners of the Bay Area searching for pieces with real character: solid wood dressers worn soft at the edges, farmhouse tables that have hosted a thousand meals, shelves that smell faintly of old pine and better times.

Every piece we bring home gets our full attention. We clean, repair, and refinish by hand — thoughtfully, not aggressively. The goal is never to erase the past. It's to make sure the piece has many more years ahead of it.

Why vintage?

Furniture made before the 1980s was built differently. Solid wood. Dovetail joints. Hardware that still turns smoothly. Buying vintage means choosing something that was made to last — and giving it the chance to prove it.

It's also the most sustainable choice you can make for your home. No new trees cut down. No factory waste. Just something beautiful that already existed, given a second life.
